Interesting eh?
I’ll be the first to admit such online polls aren’t always the most accurate or what not, but still, I’d say that’s some indication (I mean, who goes to the KDN website anyway?)
I’m sure some people would like to blame Malaysians for being ‘uncivic’ or ‘unpatriotic,’ but if the cops are sincere, it’s time for some soul searching.
Perhaps not the best analogy, but I find myself thinking of Americans post 9/11 who asked themselves “Why do they hate us?”
I think policing is a noble job. Lately, I’ve been engrossed in a series of extremely enjoyable police novels.
But how did it get so messed up in Malaysia?
I think questions 2 and 3 give good indications. An incorruptible police force (you have no idea how I hate to say it, but think Singapore) earns the ‘hormat’ or ‘kagum’ of the rakyat. A 70% bribery rate says a lot about a police force, and creates the impression that cops are always out harassing you for a bribe.
(In my experience, don’t offer, and you won’t be asked for one. You might bet let off too, seeing it’s likely to be a bogus operation).
Question 3 reminds us of why too much police power is spent breaking up rallies (and the occasional assembly sitting), and not enough on the most simple, basic, but effective aspect of police work: patrolling the streets.
Question 5 of course is a matter extremely close to our hearts – IPCMC now!!
Not long ago, the Deputy Home Minister whacked Lim Kit Siang for saying only 1% of Malaysians feel safe, as reported by the Home Ministry website itself (who he’s actually implying is an idiot I’m not really sure).
I think the statistic is not far off. They’ve just put private security guards on my road too. It’s a weird feeling, driving through the guards all the time, but I can certainly understand why they’re there (why a whole tax paying neighbourhood has to pay extra to feel safe, I understand less).
I bet either you or someone very close to you has been a recent victim of crime right?
So I think it’s time for politicians to stop being idiotically defensive and in denial, and really face up to the degree normal Malaysians from every walk of life are suffering from the scourge of crime.

malaysian police are the most uneducated moron. I think an orang utan has the evolution longer than them.
I f***ing drive cautiously with seat beal the mother fucker said i did.
I asked him to check my handphone that i did not have any call he just said that you tak mengaku.
Fucking don’t even know how to use a phone let alone operate a gun you dumbass.
Discworld?
nat: discworld!! :D
I always love going to Singapore because it always feel so safe there! The police force there is first class and Singapore has became like a First World country. But Malaysia is becoming increasingly uncivilized with police force, where many are even real gangsters, it seems like, especially that scary-looking Special Branch! And on top of that, we have religious police commandos, behaving the same way! But yet, criminals, including foreign ones, go on rampaging and pillaging Malaysia like crazy, and laghing at the police it seems like, including raping and murdering women/girls, and even murdering innocent public through snatch-theft! What the heck really?!

“don’t offer, and you won’t be asked for one. You might bet let off too” – I can’t agree more with my own experience!
I drive a car with Spore plate – usually the ‘target’ of traffic police. Keeping my stand not to offer any bribe, I have in at least 2 occasions been let off by the traffic police. Either they are so ‘lazy’ to even issue me a ticket, or they simply ‘give chance’.
And it really feels good to play my part – by not being a party to corruption.
Almost 90% of the policemen/officers are malays. And they support a corrupt party namely Umno which is a malay party. So the result of the poll is not surprising.
As a malay, all I could say to the police is this: ‘bikin malu melayu saja’. But then I don’t regard Umno members as my malay brethen; those corrupt and manipulative creatures who caused destruction to this beloved country of ours.
For the police force to gain public confidence, stop becoming a lap-dog of Um no. It is the first and small step towards becoming a real polce force comparable to the Met Police UK. The Met Police don’t give a hoot to either the Conserv or Labor party.
The rampant daily snatch thieves ,rapes and murder and cases such as Kugan ,Teoh Beng Hock and the more than over 1000 (One Thousand deaths in Malay Police custody ) is terribly worrying .
YB Home Minister Hishamuddin is a good man who hopefully will do something about the tragic situation as it is damaging the image of the Country all over the world as highlighted in press ,radio & TV Shows abroad.
For Evil to continue and carried on th the next generation Good Men & Women say and do nothing.
When the Police is a political tool of the Umno/Bn Government it will continue to be used for their agenda.
Malaysia saving hope is a New Pakatan Rakyat Government of Keadilan-Pas-Dap which is much respected by so many Malaysians of all Races.
Hidup REFORMASI !
Do not let Khugan,Teoh Beng Hock,Altantuya and the over One Thousand Deaths die in vain (yes over a staggering 1000 deaths in Malay Police custody ! ) No Country -Civilised I mean , will tolerate such a hideous & Outrageous number of deaths by Officers who are supposed to protect the public !
Wake up Malaysians -your next generation will suffer the same fate if you take an apathy attitude !
REFORMASI !!!
Shocking news! Been told that those rais on massage parlours has benefits to both the pimp owner and the blardy men-in-blue.
1) It allows the pimp to clear old stock via the raids and get new gals, and in the process, get to keep all monies owed to the old gals. Raids are alwiz informed, so the pimps will make sure only the “old /used” gals are around during the raid to be arrested.
2) It allows the blardy men-in-blue to say “i’m doing my job”, get paid by the pimp owner and get serviced by the gals at the lockup.
Win-win situation huh?
Policemen doing their rounds is a rare sight nowadays. Even if you happen to see them they are usually near banks where I believe they have to put down their signatures in som book. But the strangest thing i Have noticed is that only the young, youthful looking police are involved. The senior policemen are never seen. They must be sheltering themselves in the shade in their offices I suppose. I think senior policemen shoul also do their rounds as this wii surely give a positive impression of the police as the latter with their vast experience will be in a better position to handle matters arising in the streets.
licensed to rob….each time i see them i split …maybe we should use the soliders ! from nepal
Entah kenapa nampak saja polis, maka saya akan terbayang RASUAH.
Polis kita memang sinonim dgn RASUAH.
Negara kita tak selamat lagi untuk didiami kerana polis kita RASUAH RASUAH RASUAH.
Polis kita dah jadi pagar makan padi. Kerja jadi polis saja, tapi gaya hidup macam datuk menteri. Kenapa begitu? RASUAH.
LET ONLY GOOD GUYS STAY ON TOP
In the game of robbers and cops
The good guys are supposed to stay on top
But in any society where crimes never stop
It’s hard to predict as to who will finally drop

Teenager followed bogus cops because she has police record
By TAN SIN CHOW
GEORGE TOWN: The teenager, who was allegedly abducted and raped by two bogus policemen, was earlier detained along with a group of teenagers reported missing by their parents in Johor in the middle of this year.
It was due to this previous detention that led to the victim, 19, into following the “policemen” as she thought her assistance was still needed over the missing persons investigations.
State deputy CID chief Supt Nashir Ya said the victim followed the duo, aged 19 and 36, without suspecting anything amiss when they turned up at her hotel room in Jalan Trang here.
“Initial investigation revealed that it was just a coincidence that they bumped into the victim who had previous police records. She just followed them without questioning their identity.”
In May this year, five teenagers – three girls and two boys – all aged 16, were found in an apartment unit on Macallum Street Ghaut here after being reported missing in Johor Baru by their parents.
The victim and her three other friends, aged between 16 and 21, were subsequently arrested for allegedly abducting the teenagers.
However, police investigation showed they were cleared of any wrongdoing as they were merely acting as good Samaritans by offering the five teenagers a place to stay.
On Thursday, the victim was rescued by Tanjung Malim MP Datuk Seri Ong Ka Chuan at the North-South Expressway’s Slim River rest area, who drove her to the Slim River police station to lodge a report.
The girl’s ordeal began after midnight on Wednesday when two men who claimed to be policemen went to her hotel room in Trang Road here where she was staying with her two sisters and two male friends.
The men took her away after claiming the girl was needed to help in an investigation. However, they drove her to a hotel in Alor Setar where she alleged she was raped.
Meanwhile, George Town OCPD Asst Comm Azam Abd Hamid said the two suspects had since been remanded until Monday to facilitate investigation over the matter.
“Once the remand order expires, we will hand them over to our counterpart in Kedah as the alleged rape was said to have taken place in Alor Setar,” he said.
He said the victim had since been sent to the Penang Hospital for a medical check-up.
“We are still waiting for the report. An identification parade will be held soon,” he said when contacted.

What happened to the two BOGUS policemen?
All of us should thank Tun Dr Mahathir for the present situation in Malaysia! If not for Tun, the longest serving PM in Malaysian history ,and who has in that span in time, screwed up the entire Government machinery be not held responsible, then Malaysians are one screwed up lot! This man has to and will have to pay the price for sowing the seeds of destruction while, in the name of retirement, still sends “signals” to the government of the day as to who he wishes to see at the helm!
Whatever happened to the “brains” of the entire UMNO machinery that is presently running Putrajaya?! Are they being run by the whims and fancy of”Dr Jackel and Mr Hyde” of Kerala?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the same man who, at the slightest chance, uses Singapore and its majority Chinese population to belittle the Malays in Malaysia!!!!!
JUST TAKE A LOOK AT KL (Malaysia as a whole cannot be compared to Singapore) AND SINGAPORE SINCE INDEPENDECE AND YOU WILL SEE THE STARK DIFFERENCE BOTH HAVE MADE SINCE INDEPENDENCE! DO I NEED TO GO FURTHER?!!!!!

The 2nd Q was funny. Let me share my experience. Knowing there are many speed traps in Perak, I drove very slowly upon entering Perak on my way from Selangor to Penang. I knew very well I was below speed limit as I was so concious of the speed traps. In Perak I was stopped 3 times along the highway and was forced to pay ramsom by the polis twice. Both teams threatened to make me follow them back to Balai and that I must settle their summons in the Balai of their respective town some days later.
I did not pay the 3rd time because I ran out of money after paying the first 2 ransoms. The polis had no choice but to let me off without a summon. Anyhow, I cannot see how the polis could summon me when there is nothing to prove that I was over the speed limit.
My wife and I wondered why we were stopped despite driving below speed limit in a lousy national car. After a while I realised it was because my number plate was nice. It has two “8″ in a 4 digit plate.
Back to 2Q . I belong to the 70%. What choice do I have but to pay the ransom to the polis?
My friends house robbed and he don’t even call the police, he says no point. I myself had the house broken into, and when the police came, they were more interested in the furniture instead of lifting fingerprints.
All of what is percieved of the PDRM is true because this country has evolved into a culture of corruption that never seems ending but instead progressed through time.

4) along the way, the bardy men boss and seniors get free ‘fcuk’
5) then local ‘penguatkuasa’ came along and demand the same
6) then district tai ko also want a share
7) then D7 also wanna join in
8) then peace hill came to know, also want a share
