When the Rohaizat disbarring scandal broke out, my mind was still on the forum. Of late though, this ridiculous about turn by his ex-partner Yusri Isahak deserves some scrutiny.

I feel like we’re in some movie where aliens are taking over human bodies all over the world, and you only have a few trusted friends. Until of course one day, the aliens get to them too. (like The Forgotten, roughly)
Yusri Isahak, the former business partner of Rohaizat Othman, today vehemently refuted claims by Umno leaders that the party candidate was innocent from any wrongdoings.
“It’s a blatant lie to say that he never knew anything about the cooperative land and money transactions. Apart from me, he was also the legitimate signatory of the company accounts. To suggest that he was implicated by my wrongdoing is a lie,” Yusri (left) told journalists at a press conference at Yayasan Aman, Penanti today.
“He was also responsible for the misappropriation of the cooperative funds. It is unethical in the legal profession .. . Rohaizat was guilty of it.” He said that parties blaming him for being solely responsible for “swindling the cooperative money are lying.”
He said Rohaizat was lying if he claimed that he never knew about the company’s accounts transactions.
He also chided Umno information chief Ahmad Maslan for calling Rohaizat a hero for returning the money to the cooperative. “He refused and failed to attend the Bar Council disciplinary hearing on his case on Sep 14, 2007. He dared not explain himself in such a major allegation. How can Ahmad Maslan call him a hero? Either Ahmad Maslan does not know the truth or is pretending not to know it,” he said.

Keadaan ini membuatkan saya terpanggil untuk membuat sidang akhbar ini kerana saya merasa sedih melihat serangan-serangan peribadi yang dilakukan terhadap Rohaizat. (nat: maksud bang serangan yg bang sendiri buat?)
Saya tidak boleh berdiam diri apabila melihat kenyataan saya tempoh hari digunakan tanpa henti terhadap Rohaizat, seorang manusia yang saya kenal secara peribadi adalah seorang yang baik hati.
Seperti yang telah saya nyatakan sebelum ini, Rohaizat adalah kawan saya, saya tahu hati budinya dan dia anak jati Permatang Pasir. Dia sendiri telah lama menabur bakti di sini. Jika orang seperti Rohaizat dibiarkan dikeji dan dirosakkan nama baiknya semata-mata untuk kepentingan politik, akan hancurlah hidup seorang lagi manusia yang boleh membawa perubahan yang baik kepada masyarakat setempat.

Ah, or will they just dismiss the contents as nonsense? AG’s rep Tan Hock Chuan (quite a colorful character, from grapevine mumblings) appears to have appointed himself spokesman for the police and said just that :P
Wow, what quick turnaround. How much was involved? Or did Yusri get threatened silly? Whatever the method, I think the damage had been done by the first instance. Only a few would buy this turnaround. The expression and sincerity of Yusri’s first press conference said it all.

Angkat saja apa yang depa bagi. Kalau duit, bahagialah kau. Kalau keselamatan keluarga yang dijamin, itupun baik juga. Tapi hati-hatilah sikit, lepas ni kenalah sorok-sorok.

What do we expect? Najib has given his marching orders. The onslaught has begun, they wil not rest until they capture Selangor! Perak was a success story for UMNO. So they must learn to do it the Perak way and repeat their success. Until they capture all the other 3 states – Kelantan excluded – then Najib will declare Emergency and there wil be no more GE until Dottie loses weight and gain a swelte figure like the woman we shall not name! Imaginary?? Come on, Malaysia Boleh, UMNO has churned out more creative strories thn Bolywood, ok!

And the ones who rule our beloved country think the Rakyat will believe this turnaround by Yusri? That this ex-lawyer turned farmer suddenly found it in his conscience (and purse) to call for a press conference (in KL for crying out loud)!!!
Whoever is advising strategy for UMNO needs to get the sack!

Well folks, this is what we get when we allow a leader who has not been tried and tested to lead. The continued mind control and social engineering will create more morons who will abide by the will of the leader with blind loyalty. WE may not have the General Elections yet so every by- election counts, it may be tiring but it is the only way. PR has to cleanse itself and put in the trustworthy ones into the right places one by one. We may not have the General elections but God is directing the revolt by creating by-elections. As the enemy continues in its plough towards the bounty, it is making numerous mistakes, get the citizen journalists involved and lodge police reports for purposes of record only don’t expect action but keep one thing going, free flow of information to the people and the rest they will decide.

By now, Najib is smart enough to know that grabbing short-term power in the PR states thru devious (a la Perak and MACC) methods will only mean losing long-term power thru voters’ anger and indignation later at the next GE.
Only 4 things will tip the balance of judgment either for or against BN:
1. whether the government actually dismantles NEP.
2. whether corruption in the MACC and among BN leaders/cronies will be investigated and eradicated for good.
3. whether the stock market can hold up the illusion of Malaysia’s emerging new economic model. Indonesia has walked the talk and is miles ahead of Bursa. Once Yudhono resolves the latest terrorist crisis, Indonesia will be model of stability in South East Asia. Even Putra Jaya officials are asking why has the Indonesian stock market outpaced Msia. They are clearly worried about foreign investments making a permanent base there. So far, the rising tide of regional markets has helped to lift the FBM KLCI this year.
4. Whether God, who overseas the ultimate destinies of nations, will tip the balance of power or keep it evenly balanced in His righteousness and wisdom. Is PAS the hidden devil that can be worse than BN? We’ll find out soon.
