Manek Urai: Muhyiddin’s blatant bribe
Posted on July 13th, 2009 by Nathaniel Tan
Goodness, so shameless!!!
Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin today gave voters in Manek Urai a rather stark choice – choose either PAS or a new bridge for the state constituency.
“We can build it (the bridge), insya’allah, but there is a condition. It is easy – all you need to do is to ‘pangkah’ (vote), but you must vote for BN. If not, there would not be any new bridge. If you want the bridge, vote BN,” Muhyiddin said.
That’s their campaign strategy?
I have a feeling the Kelantanese will not take well to it.

If this is not intimidation bribery and abuse of power what is?
BN has been winning all those years, and for 47 years, there are still thousand of bridgres yet to be bulit. This is only Manek Urai, next GE if BN win their promise will be building houses for every Malaysian.
That is a ghost story only. If could be a platice bridge for Manek Urai.
Put your vote awas from BN from now on.
Even if the brides is to be built, the BN crony will benifit much more that the rakyat. How much then, will the cost to build a bridge, just to win a by election.
Such a low class politician. His consolation is that he is not the only one in UMNO.
MACC? SPR??? where are thou?????
It is a blatant abuse of position and power. If this is not bribery, then what is this… oops i forgot, they call it buah tangan. What are the goverment agencies doing… ooops I forgot again they only act when asked to, not when are supposed to. My graph of disgust of these politicians have been on the slide and the way things go it is going to be buried forever… My back is forever turned to BN … Its look like that whatever the BN do, they keep digging deeper … its a sinnnnkinnnng feeliiiinnngggg
Murah betul kempen si bengap tu ye! Tangkaplah dia!!! Dia cuba merasuah orang Manek Urai!!! MasyaAllah!!! Memang sah BN akan kalah! Ini kah cara orang BN menang undi?? Najis, jawab saya kalau ada teluk!
A” Bribe ” wil be built if you vote me.
I was wondering if there is kind of typing error for the word Bridge. After thinking over it’, I thought it’s ok anyway.
En Muhyiddin,
We’ll vote for PAS and we also want our bridge.
Boleh?
No?
Why not? It is our tax money, not your’s or your grandfather’s. Or is it in your perverted mind you actually believe the money is your’s?
[...] And then there is Muhyiddin saying to the voters of Manek Urai that they have to vote Barisan to get a new bridge. Since when did holding the voters ransom become the smart thing to do? Why should anyone be punished for exercising their right to vote? And if that new bridge is really necessary, why is it that Barisan is refusing to build it unless they get voted in?
