A Rakyat’s Open Plea to DYMM Yang diPertuan Agong – Save us from Najib
I suppose most think it is too late, and perhaps it is.
And yet, at the time of writing, there does not seem to be an official, confidence inspiring statement about a swearing-in ceremony tomorrow.
Thus, I have composed the following, borrowing the opening and ending language from a similar Pakatan letter. It is not my best piece of writing, but time runs short.
And if it amounts to naught, like my last letter to royalty, then so be it. But with so much at stake I shall refuse not to try whatever is within my feeble ability, and continue to live in hope that we may be spared the disaster of a Najib premiership.
Mengadap Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong
Al-Wathiqu Billah Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Ibni Almarhum Sultan Mahmud al-Muktafi Billah Shah
Ampun Tuanku,
We beg Tuanku to take the following matters into consideration as Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak seeks to become Prime Minister.
In the weeks leading to his ascension to power, the government has demonstrated ever increasing repressive measures to silence all voices of legal, patriotic dissent.
The police have used tear gas and water cannons to attack peaceful citizens whose only crime was to gather and listen to alternative political views.
Newspapers have been shut down, and threats against online media have been made repeatedly. A fear exists that this clampdown will only worsen should Dato’ Seri Najib become Prime Minister.
Ampun Tuanku,
As Dato’ Seri Najib prepares to assume power, we see more and more proof of corruption in the ranks of the government he plans to lead.
His party has allowed the Chief Minister of Malacca to continue ruling the state even after being found guilty of money politics. This worrying trend suggests a return to the days where high officials can spent millions of ringgit belonging to the people on Disneyland trips.
Even as the rakyat struggles with an ever worsening economic crisis, Dato’ Seri Najib himself has yet to explain why excessive amounts of money was spent on arms purchases involving multi-million commissions to those closely associated with himself. His hand has also been seen in the federal government’s move to buy back Selangor’s privatised water concessions at vastly overpriced values, and plan to increase water tariffs to increase private profits at the expense of the rakyat.
A fear exists that this trend of corruption will only worsen should Dato’ Seri Najib become Prime Minister.
Ampun Tuanku,
The already tarnished integrity of the judiciary has been worsening in these weeks leading to Dato’ Seri Najib’s planned ascension. To date, even such glaring cases of corruption such as the VK Lingam scandal have yet to be properly prosecuted.
In the recent Perak constitutional crisis, involving alleged threats and inducements which Dato’ Seri Najib himself is perceived to have played a pivotal role, judges have now been replaced with parachute candidates who have already begun ruling in favour of Dato’ Seri Najib’s political allies.
Similar tampering with the judiciary and switching of judicial personnel was also observed in the Altantuya Shaarriibuu murder case, which the whole world now perceives Dato’ Seri Najib to be involved in. His refusal to account for how his personal bodyguards participated in a murder for which they had no plausible motive continues to be a glowering blemish on his personal integrity as Prime Minister aspirant.
Ampun Tuanku,
The public fails to believe that Dato’ Seri Najib is the man to lead a nation dealing with economic crises, corruption scandals at every level, and severe abuses of power by law enforcement agencies and personnel.
Malaysia needs a leader with a cleaner record of integrity, a leader free from the taint of any ill perception, to lead a united Malaysia in these dark times.
We pray Tuanku will choose such another individual to lead us until such a time as Dato’ Seri Najib may clear his name and demonstrate a more confidence inspiring aptitude. A nation surrounded by despair looks to Tuanku in hope.
Ampun Tuanku,
Amin Ya Rabbal ‘Alamin
Ampun Tuanku
Patik dengan segala hormat takzimnya,
Nathaniel Tan

Nat – would just like to say thank you for your tireless optimism and concern for this country. You’ve elected to take on the concerns of other Malaysians and be their voice. Bless you.
Don’t demonise Dato Sri Najib.I am all for him to lead the country.Listen to the views of the silent majority. The country can not afford to have too many issues at this point in time where the economic situation is not in our favor.Do not make things worse. The majority of the people are in favor of Najib as the next PM.It is only the opposition that is painting a bad picture and wants him out. As long as there is no concrete evidence produced we the silent majority are not going to buy it. I hope the King will not be influenced by all your writings.Since Najib has sworn over the Koran that he has nothing to do with the mongolian-thats it. Najib will be sworn as the next Prime Minister 2moro God Bless the King, the new PM and Malaysia.
Daulat Tuanku!
Please stop or at least delay this transfer of power that will only result in more instability in Malaysia and will only further tarnish Malaysia’s reputation!
Ampun Tuanku!
Daulat Tuanku!
I don’t know who is this Param??? HE spoke like he has no idea about Najib’s involvement in corruption and strongly being alledged with much to be explained. In fact, there will be more problem when he become PM, enough problem now, with him there is even more. You alone to support him does not represent all the Rakyat, as all the Rakyat are informed….
Param,
How do we know you are the silent majority?I m also in this group but i do not agree with you.Perhaps you are still sleeping and not curious to know. For heavens sake stop being naive and stop believing that anyone swearing on the Koran is that sincere.Do you know what is hidden agendas?
You cannot see what is truth and what is bull!No you are not the silent Majority!
If just swearing over the Quran, everything is solved, then all robbers, murderers, criminals and other law breakers can do likewise and solve all the cases in our court, All the courts in M’sia can then be turned into museums and the judges can find other careers since they are no more needed in our country. Is it that simple Mr.Param……Plezzzzzz have some common sense. You are talking rubbish. We need a leader who is not only clean but free from controversies so that our country’s already not so good reputation will not be tarnished internationally. That is most and foremost.
Mr. Param , sir,
Your comments makes me puke. Are you sincere in making the comment or are you just in the process of “polishing”.Unfortunately, to my sensible mind, sir, you are only showing your narrow mindedness and lack of knowledge regarding the event that have rolled out into the streets of our country. Sir, I wish you could open up your eyes and ears, and most of all, open up your mind before making any comments that can really make others ,like me, think that you are mentally retarded!!!
Thank you,sir…………..
Katanya nak buang seramai 800 orang…
Daulat Tuanku!

I appeal to PKR leaders to make some adjustments in Bukit Selambau concerning the infighting of PKR leaders and members in Sungai Petani. That’s the main weakness PKR faces now. Act urgently and soothe the ones who feel not included in the campaign and related stuff. This is news from the groun. Act on it now. (read below)

[...] A Rakyat’s Plea To HM the YDP Agong [...]
Dear Nat,
Thanks for your effort even though I feel it will come to naught. I guess now the only One who can bring this man down is God Himself and I am praying for that day to come and hopefully live long enough to see that happen. In the meantime, we’ll just be prepared for the worse and handle things one at a time until the next GE. Do you agree?
As for you, Mr Param. I don’t think you are at the side of the silent majority because silent majority like me and the other commentors are definitely against this man from becoming PM (I really hate to say his name). So, do us a favour. Don’t group us together with you because we are different as the east is from the west.
Tuanku please appoint Tengku Razaleigh as PM instead as the image of Malaysia has been and will be further damaged so long as the Najib-Altantuya -Razak Baginda issue remain unresolved.
How can we have a Leader who DO NOT Command the respect of the Majority of the RAKYAT of the Country except the chosen Umnoputras.
Hidup REFORMASI !
@ Chris Yong
And you have an idea of Najib’s involvement in the so called case? Can I see the proof? No web addresses accepted ya.
@iantunmah
You are accusing Param of lack of knowledge? What knowledge? The rubbish you read from blogs such as this one? Nothing to say about others but bad things? Then I’m very sorry for you and your tarnished mind.
Param is mentally retarded you say? You have something against the mentally retarded is it? Fairness and Justice for all, my foot. :)
p.s Want knowledge? Try wikipedia.
Nat…, thanks for the write-up !
As usual it will be ignored…! (sorey!)
Do NOT give up still..! We are Malaysians…!!
Next GE is comming in 3yrs time. Keep doing it for the rakyat.
Let’s not be put down by all these “drama”…!!!
Nat…………!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please blog something that will give us HOPE…!
Make the rakyat WANT to vote for PKR in the next GE. Enough of condamning others…! Sick & tired of hearing/seeing their “shit”…!
Blog more positive issues to open the eyes of the rakyat….!
Thanks Nat…!
Nat,
I am one of the very very few in the country who had never placed much expectations and hopes in letters and petitions to the Rulers.
Do you think they really understand the wishes of their people?
Aren’t they almost divorced from the pulse of their people?
Mahathir has spoken enough about them. Need I repeat.
I guess by now itis already too late.
As such, I would like to congratulate Najib for being PM
And may our new PM take Malaysia to another level …
Please calm down readers. God is around to help us and He knows best. He created us so now we leave it to Him the greatest.
