BN about to form illegitimate, unrepresentative government in Perak?

So, rumours abound of Najib’s wet dream coming true (no, I’m not talking about anything Mongolian) – word is BN will offer to form the Perak government based on the 3 crossovers.

Before anyone gets their panties in a twist, I would strongly urge you to look at Malaysiakini’s undi.info numbers on the 2008 election results in Perak.

I’m going to do more detailed research on this soon and publish it. The conclusion should be that by no stretch of the imagination would any political observer predict a win for BN should there be snap elections in Perak called today.

If this is so, any BN-led government in Perak must be seen to be illegitimate and unrepresentative. Any attempt by BN to form a government in Perak that would aspire to even the lowest levels of honour and commitment to democracy should include announcing snap elections of their own.

Anyway, words are cheap. Lemme do the numbers for you and be right back.

  • Perak is not for Sale!!

For heavens sake, we should not allow Perak be bought by BN with money and positions. Perak is not for sale and I hope the Sultan will see to it . Please, dissolve the Assembly and let the people decide. This is the people’s will. The sultan must foil BN’s evil designs.

I have full confidence in the Perak royalty.I have been always a fan of the intelligent and the charismatic Raja Nadzrin.I am sure they will make the right decision, and in this case, calling for an immediate snap election and let the rakyat decide. There is nothing more valuable in a democracy other than the mandate of the rakyat. As I have always said, defection is a disease and morally very wrong. It is akin to telling the poor people who voted them in,’who cares about you.I will join any party which is lucrative to me’.May the royal wisdom prevail.

  • Bota assembleyman who hopped into PKR last week is rumoured to be hopping back into UMNO. M’sian politics is a joke!

  • I thought that PR is the one who is going to maneuver the defections and to form the future federal government?

Would that be legal? if PR were to do it?

Are we getting a piece of our own poison?

    Well said Mamanview!

They’re willing to follow the BN MPs to Taiwan. That shows how hard PR tried.

  • Those 3 should request of RM1 billion….!!! What stupids…..

BTW.. Fron the start, I believe that Anwar’s takeover plan was to avoid BN takeover of Perak as the best defense is to offence… and making BN busy among their MPs…… That’s why Tajol rosli declared that BN will be in control in Perak in August…. Since 16 Sept. Passed without crossover… BN resumes their plan to take over Perak…. Anwar was bluffing about the crossover because he want to save Perak PR govt…
