You people only have yourselves to blame. You VOTED in this corrupt regime time after time.

You allowed them to take advantage of you time after time. You all stood meekly aside while they did what they wanted. And at most all you did was gripe and whine on the blogs, on Youtube etc.

Where were you when this and countless other incidents happened? Sitting in front of the computer? You deserve another 50 years of UMNO hegemony. Malaysians are cowards and kiasu.

After I got home aound 3Am I spent a couple of hours reading reports on Mkini & MT & leaving comments here & there. Decided it’s more effective to flesh out my fragmented eyewitness reports and turn it into a full-blown blogpost. Finally done…. this event needs to be fully documented as it establishes “mala fide” just as clearly as Hamid Albar’s vile act of packing RPK off to Kamunting for 2 yrs to prevent his legal team from freeing him via the first habeas corpus application.

reality check
(i) no one else in the world are gonna (able to) help us in significant ways other than to create awareness etc… (think palestine etc…). at best, these outsiders could only watch us on cnn and then they’d go on about their own businesses.
(ii) only malaysians can help malaysians.
(iii) speak in bahasa all (most of) the time whenever any YBs / activists are on national tv. it is the national language. that is selling it well. precious time in front of the camera should not be wasted. even if these are posted on youtube, our malay friends (our main target audience) whom are not well versed in english (or mandarin) can at least give their precious time to listen to our pitch.
(iv) do not provoke the police. period. it’s no use any of those YBs appearing on the the following day showing off their ’scars’ in regards to ‘police brutality’. it’d only alienate them (the police) further. if you dont have the police on your side (or at least, dont see you with contempt), then you’re on to something….
(v) no(t many) sane police would find it in their hearts and conscience to beat up another unarmed and non-threatening individual.
(vi) i know the likes of cnn only air those segments which are sensational (i.e. involving violence) but, in all humility, the greatness of gandhi and dr martin luther king will shine through no matter what. this is the ultimate aim.

god bless all brave (but non-violent) individuals.
