In a Civilised Parliamentary Democracy, and following the Traditions, Practices and Conventions, the normal course of events would be:
1] Pak Lah & his Government should have tendered their resignation and concede that the sitting Government has collapsed.
2] This should have occurred within 24 hours of His majesty’s Leader of the Opposition making a Formal Declaration and in Public and for the World to know, that Anwar Ibrahim has the Command of the Majority of the MPs of the House [Dewan].
3] Many days has passed, I dare say, Pak Lah is behaving in the most unParliamentary manner of a Civilsed nation of the Commonwealth and among all Democracies. It is most unbecoming of the Person as an Individual, and also as a Prime Minister.
4] Now, every Leader and Parliamentarian in Europe, Japan, Korea, Canada, USA and all the Coomonwealth Countries will have known that Pak Lah Government has collapsed.
5] Pak Lah, personally and his Government collectively, has put us Malaysians to shame and we are now considered to belong the standard an dlevel of such countries as Zimbabwe, Burma and th emany other strange Governments of the 3rd world.
There is NO DOUBT whatsoever in my mind, that technically, a New Government has taken place only prevented by the very STRANGE behaviour of those who hold dearly to the Principles of Parliamentary Democracy.
I hereby disassociate my self from my sitting Prime Minister who present actions I consider most unbecoming of a Democart and a Muslim Leader.
If Anwar has the number, go for it, why wait? Wait for ISA? Come on Anwar,either you have or you don’t have. Right now, 2 days has passed the target date. One more day and we will not
believe yout anymore, I am being kind, 2 days of non event, I am giving Anwar one more day to put the belief in the rakyat that he has the numbers. Failing which, Anwar has to come out and say so, We don’t mind waiting for the next general election, but do not, I repeat do not lie to the rakyat. Anwar was asked by the PM to name the MPs ,Anwar ask for an urgent session of Parliament to move no confidence vote and yet the PM all of sudden gets cold feet.Why?

This is the question that I was asking too previously.
DSAI can’t just go for it precisely because ISA may be invoked. DSAI may have his expectation or belief about how “desperate” AAB is. But he doesn’t know for sure. He doesn’t know whether AAB will protect his power at all costs, even that means using martial law to rule the country.
But there is no way to ascertain without acting to see what AAB will do. Also, DSAI cannot delay his move because the sodomy trial is coming up.
So where do you start in facing such scenario? You start with the most “cordial” move, i.e., requesting a tea session with AAB. And hope that AAB would chicken out. If that’s refused, then a more formal request, emergency parliamentary meeting. Refused again, now the gloves have to come out. The stakes become higher.
It’s like persuading a person with weapon on his hands to drop the weapon. You always start with soft moves. You don’t draw your weapon until the last minute, even that means you are taking the risks while persuading.
AAB has not backed down, so don’t think “Abdullah chicken” is the correct description. In fact, his chicken act (refuse to meet) is actually a show of bravado. We are seeing an administration that is refusing to give up its power. We are heading for a final show down.
By the way, DSAI has the numbers. No doubt about it. People should put the question to rest. Who are on the list are no longer important if you accept the fact that he has the numbers.
