Crossovers

I guess it’s anyone’s guess whether the numbers will be there come September 16.

Obviously, no one will consider my view particularly objective :) But I get this feeling that the momentum is really building - a) the momentum for change, b) the momentum at which BN is crumbling.

I’m trying to see it from the perspective of the BN politicians, especially given the endemic infighting and blame game within Umno (the knives are out for Abdullah again I see) - what is really in their best interests right now?

In the beginning, it seemed like the big concern was: “If I jump first, everyone will be out to get me.” By now, maybe it’s like “If I don’t jump now, I’m going to get left behind, and on the wrong side of the fence.”

*Shrugs*

Some also think BN is too quiet, with such an imminent threat at their doorstep - calm before the storm? In any case, we’ll be staying vigilant.

I’ve come down with a bit of a cough :( So may miss my Puccini & Civil Society Awards night, but will see I guess, maybe some guardian angel will call and give me a ride :P

  1. For me is 50-50. Some $$$MP as dirty as their bosses too.

We glad that people have chosen Barisan Rakyat.
We glad that unity have shown in Permatang Pauh.
We glad that people have stronger courage from now on.
We glad that all of us are truly anak bangsa Malaysia.
All these good signs will make our dreams come true,
    very, very, very soon!

  2. Like I have shared with you, I seem to feel that some people in various govt institutions are thinking twice before following any order. Take the Malaysia Today blockade as an example. Do you think it’s a whole-hearted execution? Why have there been times when TMnet unblocked it only to block it again? And what about other ISPs? Perhaps a little of typical Msian inefficiency, but perhaps not for such serious, sensitive situation?

  3. Dear Nat

Please speak from the point of view of Malaysia instead of what the politicians would think. They should know the hazards that come with the job by now. If they don’t know then they have no business being in politics.

    Thank you and best regards.

  4. As a much as this country needs the crossovers, Iwould be wary of who exactly the PR will be accepting. I’m not sure that I want the likes of some crossing over because it would be akin to bringing in a disease to the promising PR alliance. The very reason we want a change is because we are sick and tired of the CANCER that presently controls this country.

  5. JUMP NOW! You spineless cows!!
