I read with interest the front page story of The Star, where the ACA is implying that police have been involved in some corrupt RM 1 billion deal involving upgrading their communication systems, and using an Israeli-based IT company.
I immediately thought of Eyeblaster, and Israel based company, which was featured in suarakeadilan.com a long time back as having had a hand in (at least) online advertising for the BN 2008 election campaign website.
Same guys? I don’t know, but let’s keep our eyes open.
The other thing I think about of course, is how this investigation could be construed as yet another case of intra law enforcement agencies warfare.
Is the ACA, newly empowered by Abdullah, going after the cops as some sort of rebuke against their desperate campaign against Anwar?
As I’ve said before, no matter how much Abdullah or Najib may hate Anwar, I think even they realise that they stand to lose more than they stand to gain by arresting Anwar (a scenario still whispered about) and hauling him up on charges that no sane person would consider plausible.
I’m being repetitive, but for some civil servants, especially in the legal and law enforcement lines, maybe they know more than anyone else that they are already facing in very real terms their worst case scenario (the man they wronged so terribly in the past now ascending to power). They’ve got considerably less to lose by throwing the kitchen sink.
Anyway, I’m 100% for having those assigned to protect us equipped with the best possible equipment, but RM 1 billion is a huge sum, and I look forward to ensuring that everything about this deal is above board.

Seems to me all this expenditure – RM42 million or what – has only 2 purposes :
One, to enrich the coffers of UMNOPutras,
Two, to render this country into a police state whereby the UMNOPutras will rule forever. The current bias, prejudicial, partisan, and grossly unprofessional performance of the Police does NOT warrant any more mollycoddling via such sweeteners and oodles of monies for them. It will only be used against the people of this country.
I say, stop it. Stop this useless exercise. Until and unless the PDRM is revamped and reformed, tighen further development funds for them. They do not deserve it.
With this expose’ the question than arises, IS THIS THE PAYOFF TO THE COPS FOR FIXING ANWAR UP.
