Friends,
It is a season of new chapters; some sad, some.. just new.
From Monday onwards, I’ll basically start working full time with my dad. My last real job with the Foundation for the Future ended March 31st; some of the time spent thereafter includes working on book I hope you’ll soon hear about and doing a little bit of work with KeADILan in the aftermath of the latest scandals.
Now though, I think it’s time to buckle down on to something else. My dad works in finance, basically, so I’m going to become a full time capitalist :P (in almost the purest sense of the word I guess). Luckily, I have this blog to help keep me plugged in to things I believe in, and will continue to believe in (just sorry if it’s not always as regular).
Guess there isn’t that much else to say on the matter; I’ve been missing a lot of things from the past, and will likely continue to do so….
To all readers: it’s always nice having you nearby – thanks as always for the companionship :)

I was recently reminded that a year ago yesterday, I was picked up by the cops, starting a four day ordeal.
As I ‘commemorate’ this event, I want to remember, among the so many people who all really, really did so much to help me get out, the one person who may have done the most – Li Tsin.
I’ve thought about this at some length, and I don’t think there’s much more I can say right now that would do anything justice, except maybe thank you.

Good luck Nat, for your new journey.
I want to say thank you, your blog was the first one that attracts me and made me a regular reader of online political blogs.
You have open up my eyes, and shown me a whole new world.
sounds like a great move, lest you get jaded with politics. now you can get jaded with finance before making a move back into public service :-)
all the best with your new gig!
Well you still around and stay focus i guess.
Good luck with ur new endevour!
Cheers….
When you leave your footprints
There is always nostalgia flowing in
You can’t forget about the past
As you walk to your future
I guess you will have many things to do
New beginning new horizon and new look at life
I know you will try to pen your thoughts
Now and into the future I wish you well
It wasn’t easy to forget
About wrong detention and police interrogations
I had my brush with the police in my kampong days
These police officers won’t listen……………….
They always think they rule the country
And we are the trouble makers making their lives miserable
Now with your new job
Fresh ideas will come in your blog
So I guess you may find your journey
The permanency of life wishes
About your new book……
Let me know
Sign off with the best wishes
Into your new surrounding
Nat,
Was thinking of writing to you sooner, after I met you at your book launch at KLAB so long ago, but I guess this would be appropriate, in a way.
It wasn’t easy what you have been doing thus far, and I sincerely admire you for it, though in the eyes of some, it may not have amounted to much, but it certainly was something, and even if the fruits may not have been there, it was still significant, and took a whole of courage I myself wouldn’t have had.
Apologies for my incoherent rambling, not really that good with words myself, and most likely, what I have just written is just wholly, completely and totally out of point, like a curved ball that went out of orbit. Well, I would like to wish you all the best in your new career as a capitalist (hehe), but most of all, or rather above all, wishing you happiness in all that you do!
Cheers.
Nat,
All the best with your new job :)
Hope you will continue writing in here..
I am one of those that regularly read your blogs and have felt for your struggles and silently prayed that you will continue to keep faith in the values you have chosen. There will alway be things that could be done differently, but the crucial thing is not to be held back by guilt too long or become fearful of becoming passionate in things you care about… like Justice and Love.
Yes, sometimes a change is needed to move on and new experiences can help bring greater wisdom. I wish you God’s blessings and peace. Will hope to hear about your thoughts and ramblings as when you are able. I am almost a senior citizen, but not quite. Steady as you good.

PS. Apologies for spelling error in earlier note
Good luck, Nat . Keep your values close to you and your idealism in your heart, always. No matter which road you take, they will be comforting company.
All the best with you new job !
I’m not sure what your new duties will be, but I dare say its going to be a rough ride in the Securities sector in the next few months. A combination of the tough world economic situation and local uncertainties.
I pray the idiots here don’t go for the “military” option. That will surely turn us into Malbabwe-land.
Dear Nat,
Shalom. May you be blessed with the graces from God Almighty as you take on this new venture. I am sure you have made the right move and you will surely make your dad happy too.
But don’t lose track of what you believe in. Keep in touch with your work with Keadilan and update you blog whenever you can for readers like me who look for “uncoloured” news and views.
God bless
Wish you well .. Your incident made me realise there is a potential news reporter in me ..hahahhaa … hey cheer up.. only one in a few millions can have a stay of four days in the lockup , come out of it and become super-famous… LOL
:-D
Just kidding yeah.. but anyway, again wish you the best in everything you do…
