Cops cruelly & viciously brutalise BMC resident - will there be action??

I’m deeply angered by the continuing BMC violence, and by what happened to Chang Jiun Haur:

I hate police brutality so much, and can’t seem to find anything ‘rational’ to say about it. I will note with great suspicion this passage tho:

A high-ranking police officer at the scene claimed that Chang had run over a FRU personnel with his car.

He asked for it. He ran over a policeman and he got what he deserved,” the officer told Malaysiakini a few minutes after the incident.

Asked to identify the person who was hit by the car, the officer had initial difficulty in persuading the individual to come forward.

When he did so, the man - who appeared unscathed - claimed: “He tried to run me over… look at my baton, it is broken. What more evidence do you want?”

However, a police officer who took Chang to the Kajang Hospital said none of the personnel had been hit by the car.

Sound frikkin’ familiar? I am personally VERY dubious that any such runover took place.

And what’s this bloody nonsense that a broken baton is proof that someone was run over?! As someone commented, more likely broken because you stupidly whacked someone with it!

Actually, screw all that - even if he did run someone over (which he so obviously didn’t! even the cops say so!), is that ANY reason to treat a man like that? WTF kind of gangster outfit is this?!

Sigh. I’m seeing some ok signs from Selangor gov’t, but I wouldn’t mind seeing more. And I’ve still got very suspcious eyes on that Zainal guy. (Read comments for links to info about Grand Saga)

  1. Sir, your baton is broken because you’ve been beating someone with it. What more proof do you need?

  2. These assholes is getting worse day by day. They cannot take the law in to their hands …. what a shame to Malaysian gov. 20 over guys hiting an armless youth.
I have watched the video clip …. if Chang JH has the intention to run over the FRU …. he would have been doing it and at least 3 to 5 FRU will be seriouly injured. AAnd now is there any FRU guy injured ? WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON HERE ?

  3. Watch out for anyone who’s a law unto himself
Thinking that he’s not answerable to anyone else
Just let him wait for the God of Justice Himself
To pass judgment and sentence on the criminal or else…

  4. I dont know what the hell is the Selangor Pakatan Govt is doing. They cant even intervene and support the people in their cause. Not a single PKR/PAS leaders were spotted in the area with the people.Dont tell me PKR and Tan Sri Khalid is waiting for people to start dying before they can get their act together.

Where is PKR, where is Anwar and where is Tian Chua and all the so call PKR leaders?

Comeone-you used to say justice for all and not only for Anwar..Now im seriously doubting this.

The people voted the Pakatan fellas for a reason.Now-the vote and the victory doesn’t mean anything at all.

I challenge Mr Tan to be a good citizen first and not some low level PKR lackey and post this comment without censoring.

  5. The police serve as bullyboys for the BN and as long as BN continues to run the federal government, the state governments can only take legal action, but they have no real clout with the police - who, quite clearly, still live in a timewarp, believing they’re back in 1998 with Dr M as Home Minister.

This is precisely why BN has disqualified itself from ever being allowed to mismanage Malaysia. The handful of decent MPs from BN are welcome to join any of the Pakatan parties - or start on a clean slate with a new untainted political party.

BN has assigned itself to political oblivion… and so be it!

  6. THESE POLICE OFFICERS ARE GANGSTERS, INSTEAD OF BEING COMMITTED TO THEIR DUTY TO PROTECT THE RAKYAT! NO WONDER THIS SORRY NATION-STATE HAS BECOME CRIME-INFESTED ONE, SINCE CRIMINALS COULD SEE EVEN MANY OF THE POLICE ARE GANGSTERS THEMSELVES! AND THE SAD STORY FURTHER, THE YOUNGER GENERATION HAVE SUCH ROLE MODELS; AND WILL PURSUE THEIR DREAM TO BE GANGSTERS LIKE THOSE KIND OF BARBARIC MACHO-SADISTIC POLICEMEN WHO TERRORIZED AND BEAT UP UNARMED YOUTHS OF OURS AND EVEN KILLED OR POSSIBLY RAPE WOMEN SUCH AS THE UNFORTUNATE ALTANTUYA! UMNO/BN - GO TO HELL!

    NOOR AZA OTHMAN.

  7. FRU are not Police officers.

FRU were trained to handle riots.

My respect for FRU had drop down to zeros “0″ .

Good & well respected police officers should speak up.

    Where are you ?

  8. those who witnessed the incident, make police reports!!! flood those stations with 100, 200 or 500 police reports!!! Those bloody Federal Ruffians Unit fellas are worse than street thugs!!!
    make 500 police reports!!!
    make 500 police reports!!!
    make 500 police reports!!!
    make 500 police reports!!!
    make 500 police reports!!!
    make 500 police reports!!!
    make 500 police reports!!!
    make 500 police reports!!!
    make 500 police reports!!!
    make 500 police reports!!!
    make 500 police reports!!!

    F U, FRU!

  9. Ipoh Mali,

Don’t blame the Pakatan Rakyat government. Highway toll is a Federal matter and they have no power to intervene and order the toll concessionaire to stop blocking the road. FRU and PDRM is also under Federal. As for support, the PR assemblymen and Menteri Besar have been voicing support for the residents. Even a DAP assemblyman has been injured in an earlier fracas.

Your question should be directed at the Federal govt. They have the power to stop this fiasco immediately by ordering Grand Saga to allow BMC residents access until the court matter over access is settled. Why aren’t they doing anything? Why is the PM pretending not to know what’s going on?

This sort of pro-Corporation govt. has no moral right to govern. Bring on the snap election, let’s kick BN out.

  10. FRU are not Police Officers.

    They handled riots only.

Anyway, my respect for FRUs had drop to Zero “0″.

Good & well respected Police Officers should speak up.

  11. The concession was given to Grand Saga Sdn Bhd by the Fed Gov when Selangor state was in BN’s hand. But when Selangor felt into PKR ’s hand, the concession is still valid in legal terms.

But land is a State’s matter.Grand Saga Sdn Bhd and the S’gor Gov. can fight until the cow comes home.S’gor Gov has the right to remove whatever structure on its lands.Grand Saga Sdn Bhd also has the right to build back the barricade.

But Grand Saga & Fed Gov does not have the right to send FRU team without legal permission.FRU team does not have the right to beat up innocent civilians and use water cannon and tear gas on unarmed crowds.

Since using FRU is legally wrong, gangsters were hired to beat up innocent crowd again. But Grand Saga conveniently said they did not hire these gangsters.I doubt these gangsters will do jobs for free !!! The sad case is no serious investigation is conducted on Grand Saga and people behind it.

I think the show in Mahkota Cheras will continue and this “event” will provide hints to Rakyat on how the Fed Gov and State Gov will cooperate in the future.

  12. To find out the truth, watch this video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ErehM-q3rSc

At the point of 35sec onward, you heard the police cautioning its own personnel “reporter… reporter sana…”, fearing their brutality would be caught on record. Subsequently Mkini reporter who shot the video was kept to a distance from the scene, where the victim was beaten up seriously.

Given such circumstances, I would bet the baton was broken up by someone after the incident to justify police brutality.

    Judge for yourself.

  13. Ipoh Mali, your comment brings out a very important issue: how much power does a state government actually have? Look at how the federal government is trying to spoil Selangor’s plan to give free water.

All these bring us another issue: centralisation of power at the federal level. When power is too far away from the people on the ground, issues are not properly identified and addressed. It wakes us Malaysians up that it’s high time to demand for decentralisation of power. All modern western countries either have gone the decentralisation way or are moving there. Remember local elections used to be held in Msia?

BTW, law and order is under the purview of the federal government, run by none other than BN at the moment. While Pakatan Rakyat leaders have been running around at Cheras Mahkota, not a single BN leader has ever voiced their concern for the people there. PERIOD.

  14. Since Selangor Govt got shares in Grand Saga,

Can Selangor Govt through KPS remove the confused CEO of Grand Saga ?

    KPS AGM on 19-6-2008 .

  15. [...] Source : Jelas.Info [...]

  16. When HINDRAF Rally had around 30,000 people also they beat them with FRU, you’re asking for justice when they beat a few thousand residents of BMC. Do you really think they care ?

  17. Today’s “STAR” said the state government had a substantial stake in Grand Saga. Now all the PKR leaders were not around because they were calling the shots in Grand Saga’s dealing. If the PKR leaders were not aware of their stakeholding in Grand Saga, then this could be dued to the excellent efforts of the old government in squeezing money from the rakyat to their own pockets.

  18. i am eagerly waiting for the selangor mb to step in. i am waiting, cant hope federal people to help. sir. do something, sir. quick.

who signed this stupid lop-sided agreement with them highway robbers anyway??? why create all these troubles for the rakyat??? applies to all toll agreements too.

get epf to finance all hiways in the future. profits/toll collected go back to epf coffers which in turn can be used to help deserving malaysians; NOT a small group of politically well-connected blood suckers.

    again, F U, FRU.

  19. This is outright outrageous and criminal, another reason we need
    the original ICPMC.

  20. Its old stories, just came up openly.

the man in blue-licence to kill, whack whoever their master told.
The difference is they legally can abuse the power given and we Malaysian subject to their laws.

There is no different beetween a thugs and the man in blue.
    Both of them are same.

raj raman666.dont see any news in MSN like mkini.with proof but the the man in blue denies like their master BN/umno.

  21. Waaa.dont lah give excuse to the people. The people didnt vote for you to give excuse. My issue here is what is the Pakatan govt doing? why give up even before trying.Dont tell me that there are no other ways to help the people to overcome this issue.

dont just give the jurisdiction issue lah.Even when pkr were not rulling-they used to fight matters without excuse.why now give excuse.

At least mobilise your people and leaders to be with the people.

all this state/federal matter excuse is trivial. The people know about this and we didnt vote the pakatan to hear this.If all you can say is something that the people themself can do.then why the hell do we need a government.

  22. pratamad

leader from BN with the people? you must be kidding. the low life Deputy Minister from MCA even try to justify the action of the police. How low can one go in his life?

  23. “…Why Cares // May 29, 2008 at 11:12 am

    dear whycares,
not so easy lah. sel gomen only minority share. that guy is a little napoleon. u need a big&strong pair of “federal” arms to remove him.

which brings to the question again to saudara anwar, “When”?
