Launching - Religion Under Siege: Lina Joy, the Islamic State and Freedom of Faith
Posted on May 2nd, 2008 by Nathaniel Tan
update: read John’s slick write-up :D
I’ll be giving a small talk at the book signing and launch of Religion Under Siege: Lina Joy, the Islamic State and Freedom of Faith, a book I helped put together along with John Lee, this Sunday (4th May) at 4pm, at KL Alternative Book Fair (see polytikus, who has a great article in this book!) the Central Market Annexe.
It came out somewhat amidst election madness, so hadn’t had much time to publicise the project, which is a pretty comprehensive collection of articles that span quite a wide ideological divide. Wish John could be here, he did a lot of work on this. Stop by and pick up a copy if you can! :)

Haha, if we are still having those mamak sessions when I get back, I’ll sign the book for anyone who wants it. :p

It’s a freaking compilation of articles, blog posts, and statements. So, technically, it really isn’t John & Nat’s book, or is it?

ANYWAY… credit where credit’s due. Thanks for compiling stuff and making it into a compilation of sorts. Great job. Better luck next time coming up with “your” book.
