“The public’s lack of concern makes it difficult for the police to solve cases due to lack of information,” (Musa Hassan, Inspector General of Police) told reporters in his office in Bukit Aman Thursday.
He said although the police were allocated with huge amount of funds to improve facilities and modernise the force, it would not achieve its optimum level without the support from the public.
He said public apathy — of not wanting to meddle in other people’s business — would not help in the effort to create a safe and secure environment.
Always rakyat’s fault, never the authority’s fault.
Will your vote approve this behaviour?

Sure blame it on the masses.
What are the police doing most of the time protecting the rich, influential, etc. The rest of the time setting up road blocks to prevent tax paying (paying their salaries also) citizens from exercising their right to freedom of speech, keeping a watch on BN opponents ors those critical of them.
Some advice for the IGP. Please send your men to the right places for crime detection, prevention or solving of crimes. Sending your men to stop buses of people carrying roses will not help you to solve the crimes. Perhaps this is an easy way to make a living. It would be much safer to face these peoples than criminals carrying guns and knives.
Perhaps by facing the criminals you can solve the crimes and bring the unsolved crime figure down, instead of blaming the public for your incompetence. If you really can’t perform, you could easily step down and let some other police take over and complete the job.
Well, guess what, I saw daylight robbery in Jalan Silang area where 4 criminals robbed a Bangalesh man. Their boldness is scary – they didn’t even bother to run after committing a crime, and people just watched because these criminals have got KNIFES!
Downtown area is not safe now. Where are the cops? Busy arresting peaceful citizens I guess.
alamak… it’s my fault ka?
damned me… did nothing to help those police do their job, so they can relax, hit few golfs ball, had supper with head of local mafia, collect protection money from those bars and nightclub [or in some cases... brothels], shooting people go to ceramah…
sorry la my dear igp for not doing my part to help you, so you can do all of the above…
Duh…IGP, oh i see, the rakyak is getting your big fat salary and perks. Give me a break! If Mr. IGP does not know how to do the job, step down and let more capable people do it. What a bull,
As a rakyak, I am so ashamed of PDRM perhaps, the “Di Raja” should be drop as it is an insult to the Royal name.
