More details here.
As you can see, I am in good company and although undeserving, will do my best to be worthy of the place.
I must admit that in these last few days, I feel that the matter is getting increasingly complicated. I won’t pretend that preparing to speak on this matter at this point will be easy.
Nevertheless. Both the issue and presenting on it represent a challenge that must not be turned away from.
Hope to see you all there, and I’ll paste out some backgrounders the organisers provided:
The rally organized by the Hindu Rights Action Force (HINDRAF) has brought the nation’s and even the world’s attention to the perceived discrimination of Indian Malaysians in religion, culture and economy. The huge estimated turnout of 20,000 to 30,000 despite heavy road blocks, harassment and intimidation by the police spoke volume of the intense discontent within the Indian community. Such expression is unprecedented and phenomenal considering the Indian community has always been one of the strongest supporters of the ruling BN coalition.
The Civil Rights Committee of the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall (CRC-KLSCAH), like many others in the civil society, sees this as a national rather than ethnic issue. It goes beyond the Hindraf lawsuit against the UK Government. All Malaysians and especially the government have now deep soul-searching to do. The dissatisfaction and frustration of the participants will not go away and cannot be answered simply by more intimidation, denial or accusation of communalism.

Nat for Parliament!!
Nat for Prime Minister! :p
Well, in that case Nat will not only be a better PM but a more good looking one than the current one!
this is a golden, golden opportunity to bring Hindraf into the fold. this panel discussion is just the sort of vehicle needed to mollify Hindraf’s tone, and at the same garner its strength in civil society. this talk might turn out to be brilliant!!!
i hope and pray everyone uses this opportunity!!
nat for polytikus!!! :)
eh how come you’re with info bureau one?
Nat , I publish this info in my blog yeah?
Most probably I will attend ……..
nat: sure, thanks!! look fwd to seeing you there! :)
Nat don’t let the intimidation and threats by the Umno putras deter you from speaking out against the oppression that Malaysian Iandians face. It takes men and women with conviction to stand against the tide of tyrants who wish to silence the voice of the people.
ABOUT THIS CONFERNCE
The principle of sowing and reaping never changes. Everything changes but principles remain constant. Whatever we sow in words or by deeds, whether good or bad, right or wrong, wise or foolish, we shall surely reap the fruits thereof.
Employ higher thinking with right motives - never confrontational but peacefully and peaceably. Dont allow negative feelings of anger, bitterness or hatred to motivate or determine anything. Have higher and noble feelings.
Identify the barriers that has caused the disparity, imbalance or injustice in the Nation and society. Remove them or dismantle them through consultations and discussions with the relevant powers or authorities.
Both sides of the divide should extend a conciliatory hand. Focus on the issues to resolve them.
So, be careful what you say and do. The ordinary citizen is already feeling fear and apprehension of what has happened and what may happen in the future. No one wants to suffer. Dont rob, hurt or harm the citizens of Malaysia of a bright future.
The way of peace is always the right approach. Evil begets evil; hatred will beget hatred, violence will beget violence. No one wins, only evil will triumph.
MAY PEACE REIGN IN THIS BEATIFUL LAND!
