All over the place (especially in Sg Siput), there’s talk of the gangsters that Samy uses to keep his unholy grip on Indian power.
This blatant fact aside, the IGP’s logic is hopelessly suspect.
If gangsters will be used to create chaos, then you bloody job is to prevent those gangsters from beating up peaceful demonstrators, not:
a) Prevent the rally from happening. By that logic, you’d have to enforce martial law in PJ because of all the rampant crime down there, or
b) Save the gangsters the trouble by beating up the demonstrators yourself.
And for the love of… these roadblocks?!
I mean c’mon, BERSIH was on a Saturday, and roadblocks didn’t get really serious until Friday.
It’s THURSDAY, and the rally is four days away on SUNDAY.
The lengths these people will go to intimidate.
And you’re not fooling anyone. We know you’re creating an atmosphere of fear, when everything should be peaceful.
Just like the BERSIH rally was perfectly peaceful once the cops stopped firing at us.

Our government is running out of ideas as to how to govern this country other than create chaos in KL by putting up road-blocks whenever there is a gathering.
Why can’t they just pay us RM500.00 each for not turning up for the gathering.I’m sure it will be more effective that way.

I passed 3 roadblocks on my way to work and the police weren’t even paying attention to the cars – they were bored.
And what were they looking for? Weapons? If you were bringing in weapons to start a riot, would you do it last minute?? Heck, that would have been carried out a month ago!
And as for checking car boots, how stupid can anyone get? If I was carrying a gun, I’d hide it under my car seat or somewhere difficult to access. What are they going to do, strip the entire car?
The communist-dictatorship government is just so obviously trying to piss off the public and direct the anger to HINDRAF.
Judging by the people I’ve talked to and the blogs I’ve read, it’s obvious that Malaysians aren’t as stupid as the government thinks they are.
If there is a civil unrest because of demonstrations and stuff, it’s the communist-dictatorship government that should take a bow, not the citizens.

its is actually the government who is trying to create public unrest. if organisers are given the permit, assemblies will be more peaceful than UMNO MCA or MIC meetings. Public assemblies at sporting events (especially football )are more dangeruous than public rallies on the streets.
Malaysia prospered well in the past 50 years and able to place herself in the world map, not because of good governance or good leaders. Its merely the loyal contribution of minorities be it chinese or indian, lying low and tolerence they had towards to the country and the sense of belonging they had all this while. The fought alongside the leaders or this country to build the nation for what it is today.
Some quarter of over zealous people had take the tolerance attitude of these squatters and further oppressed them. Oppression leads to rebellion. Today they already wake up. Indians no more tapping rubber to earn living. They are one of the major contributor for malaysian economics and stability. 2nd richest man in malaysia is an indian. The new profitable airline is owned by an indian. The richest man in the world is an indian now. 60% of silicon valley technos are indians. 2nd most populated race in the world is indian. 50% NASA scientist is an indian.. and indians knows this. malaysian indian knows this. they have the brain. We can see them everywhere……..
Malaysia is too arrogant. instead of using this communities to build themself futher they choose the ignore and sideline them.

UMNOs that is so upset with the rally but not all Malays. True Malaysian Malays support HINDRAF. It is their right of their struggle. But stupid UMNO who are controlling the Police just wanted the Indians to be just what they are. The reality is the Indians have been in depression in this country far too long.
But blame not others but the Indian themselves, they put UMNO/BN into power except for few. Now after 50 years it is not that easy do undo their power.
I called all the Indians to unite under oppossition, KEADILAN or DAP and time has come to wipe UMNO and BN completely from the earth in the next coming elections.
In 1999 the Malays have came out very strongly againts UMNO/BN but little support from Indian and the Chinese. The mass of the Malays do not benefit much either through the present Government. The wealth of the nation went to only some Malays UMNO elite. You may shout as loud as you you can but the present Government shall never listens. The only solution is to CHANGE. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
But careful everybody. UMNO comrades have started going around seditiously telling the Malays that Indian ’sudah naik kepala’. They are twisting that HINDRAF claims are threatening not only the country but in specific the Malays. So the Malays must unite under UMNO. A proof is the assembly or the march to British assembly. This threatening tactic is being used by UMNO many times. For 50 years UMNO has been telling the Malays that if the Malays do not unite under UMNO the country will be taken over by the Chinese and the Indians afterwhich the Malays will be wiped out from this country. The stupid some Malays shall rally behind UMNO in the name of ‘KETUANAN MELAYU’. UMNO with its extreme nationalist ideology is the one who put this country into choas. That is what happened in 1969. But now is getting worse especially with the new generation of UMNO who extremely believed that this country belong to ONLY the Malays.
Dont think that we are going to blame the rally organiser that cos the traffic jam all over the city. We know who cause them, the POLICE,

It is clear that the majority Indians are not behind Samy.
By nature the majority of the Indians are very obedient and listen to their leaders most of the time. But this time it has hurt the core of their very being. The issue that triggered off so much of hatred was the demolishing of temples. When they looked around with so many illegal colonies being set up by immigrants who have been here lesser than 10 years and when they get citizenship so easily, then they started to think. What are my bloody elected representatives doing? If they are not going to voice my grievances and get some reprieve for me, than I shall link up with any Tom , Dick or Harry who is willing to take up my course – get birth certificates for my children so that they can have an education just like all the immigrants who just came in in the last 10 or 20 years. We have been here since the rubber industry started in the 19th century. Give me the neccessary identification for I know no other country. Is asking for identification, a proper education and opportunities to do a decent job unfair?

I think that they(the government) are trying their best to uphold the term to another 5 years. They are purposely causing this unrest so that they can get the majority vote which they realise are shifting towards the opposition.

The current government policies have failed. Both Indians and Chinese have endured enough discriminative policies. I do not understand why our progressive nations still have discounts for Malays for buying homes. Why we still have quotas for universities entries. Fuck the discriminative policies. A nation thrive on fair and open competition policies and meritocracy. We are not in the fifties and sixties where most locals are farmers. We are a fast developing nation where everyone should have equal opportunities.
Press ahead. Give the current government more pressure. They will need to face up to the discontent and we as the oppressed will need to be united. Soon, the current government will crumble under pressure. They will need to face international press and human rights issues and they will have no place to hide. Be courageous.
