Police Report lodged against Jeff for Al-Jazeera Interview
The disgustingness continues. And where else but the NST:
Three police reports were lodged against blogger Jeff Ooi for allegedly defaming the country, government and police force.
The reports were lodged by the Malaysian Islamic Consumers Association, Malaysian Indian Muslim Congress and Pertubuhan Seni Silat Ikatan Kalam Malaysia against a statement issued by Ooi to an Al Jazeera reporter.
The complainants want Ooi to be investigated, alleging that the interview given to Al Jazeera not only tarnished the image of the country but was also seditious and caused racial tension.
Ooi is also alleged to have given inaccurate information to Al Jazeera in stating that the police used unnecessary force in dispersing the demonstrators.
Observe how they continue to stack up the racial cards – look at who was chosen (trust me, these things do not spontaneously happen) to lodge the report against Jeff. Melayu/Islam lawan Cina, as always.
And what with our strong consumers association, and DSAI’s leadership of the Silat Gayong, the government always tries to make mirror lackeys of their own (remember the ‘Islamic’ labour union? :P )
And who is going to defend Jeff? MCA? Gerakan? Don’t make me laugh.
You want to file reports for sedition and racial tension, try Kerishamuddin.
You want to file reports for tarnishing the image of the country, try semi-literate Z-z-za-zam.
And I can’t help but point out this daft piece of reporting:
The statement was allegedly broadcast on YouTube following an illegal gathering on Nov 10 organised by a coalition of opposition parties and non-governmental organisations calling itself Bersih.
Wha…? Al-Jazeera now broadcasts on Youtube first? :|
It was broadcast on Al-Jazeeralah, then uploaded to Youtube. Do we reaalllly have to explain everrryyyything to these guys? :P

I read the NST report and I didn’t catch the ‘broadcast on Youtube’ thing

Has the powers that be come to such a low level of support from the rakyat that they have to find decrepit organisations to make the Police Report against the pewrson revealing facts which are available on video and mobiles all over the country and in fact in the hands of most Malaysians spread all over the world.
Perhaps the rakyat is being taken to be a set of ‘dopes’ or sycophants like those that you observe today in the large and minion sized ‘corridors of power’. clinging for favours with no self respect or esteem.
No judge in his right frame of mind would convict the speaker in this case in the face of overwhelming photographic evidence supported by testimonies of those ‘warriors to save Malaysia’ who were present on that memorable day in our beloved city. .
