The massive turnout for Bersih Rally on NOV 10 makes me proud to be Malaysian! The biggest public rally in Malaysia for over a decade. The Government's fear tactics failed to stop concerned Malaysians from exercising our basic rights! Pak Lah, what does it say about your government when it tries to stop it's rakyat from asking for Clean & Fair elections? Yes, we are a peaceful nation but you and your government acted like Beruks(monkeys) on Saturday for the whole world to see!
My dear fellow Malaysians who were too afraid to come out on Saturday - Do not let the government cripple your minds with fear. We need to be brave and stand-up for the future of Malaysia. If we act like we do not belong here and this is someone elses problem then we're no better than a bunch of refugees.
Politicians come and go (to 10m dollar houses in Perth) but this is Our country forever ! Don't let the government treat us with any less respect than that of 1st class citizens of this country!

[...] On Saturday, even the govt mainstream papers had to put the number of attendees at 4,000 - still a ridiculously low number; most other sources put the figure at 10,000-40,000 people. Look at the pictures yourself. [...]

Finally, more Malaysians realize the real definition of democracy and having themselves to speak out what really matters the most. Don't stop cos you know you did a right thing.

Truly a great day for people who believe in democracy but a sad day for media freedom when they have to succumb to
government pressure. Something that cannot be sidelined is downplayed into insignificance.
Good thing the news on intl channels and the blogs carried minute-by-minute reports. We need citizen journalists to counter the media blackout and control by the government.

I feel sorry for my friends stuck in the NST and Star. What a shit job to be an editor/program head in the mainstream media. Forced to swallow their bosses' smelly shit - and the BN crap from the mass media will just get worse and worse as their fear factor increases - until they gag on their own filth. SYABAS, BERSIH. The 10 Nov March was brilliantly strategized. Next time I hope the cops will join us and dance in the streets to celebrate the end of the Dark Age of BN misrule.
