Prostituted Star Covers-Up Vicious Police Violence

Riots are MCA’s one and only trick card.

Without fear-mongering, MCA would cease to exist.

The front page of MCA mouthpiece The Star today angered me no end. Police SHOOT at us, and we’re the ones accused of violence >:(

Not satisfied with having robbed the Chinese of their dignity, MCA continues to try and scare Malaysians with maliciously untrue associations between the Opposition and violence.

Their report oh so casually failed to mention the fact that the ceramah was in fact organised by the NGO BERSIH.

They only said: “The ceramah was supported by PAS, PKR and DAP.” This selectiveness is no coincidence.

No NGO organised ceramah that is attended by second tier Opposition leadership could have excited a crowd to violence.

The media has attempted to delude the public with scenes of “Opposition violence,” but if you look at the pictures and videos, there’s absolutely nothing damning.

There’s nothing damning because Opposition supporters DIDN’T do anything violent.

I’d like to see a single ounce of proof that Molotov cocktails or anything of the sort were thrown. Until then, I’m treating these rumours as lies from sources that I consider to have lost all credibility.

The insincerity of the police in inviting the organisers to discuss the permit only on the evening of the day itself points once again to pre-mediated malicious intent.

The only violence in these events is perpetrated by the police, both those in riot gear, and those planted in the crowd.

They knew they could get away with such brutal violence (water cannons, tear gas, and LIVE BULLETS!) only because they were well aware that papers like The Star would whore themselves out and write such one-sided propaganda.

I cannot help but feel ashamed to be exposed to such prostitution.

For those who might be inclined to believe this violent opposition thing, I’m inclined to ask: have you ever spent 5 minutes talking to anyone from the Opposition?

I’m no angel, but do I honestly strike you as the kinda guy who would hang out with hooligans?..

Do look around the blogs for alternative info. I’ll put up a list here later.

  • Natty, pls post photo of the ceramah here!

i would not even believe that there will be people who will bring molotov cocktail to ceramah!

    or….

those cybertroopers got a new assignment????

    pls enlight us……

  • wait til you read the malay press. it’s crazy!

on the molotov cocktail issue; i thought it was rather lousy reporting not to take pictures of those molotov cocktails. then again, even if there were pictures – those petrol bombs could’ve been thrown by anybody!

  • Dorjee: I’m no activist, but as I understand it, for quite a while there have been agent provocateurs from the establishment disrupting opposition rallies and thereby providing an excuse for the authorities to act.

I believe that a summit held by the Asia-Pacific Coalition for East Timor (APCET) in the mid-90s was disrupted by thugs from UMNO, which resulted in police detaining several innocent NGO activists.

The only thing new and shocking about this incident is that live bullets were used. The molotov cocktail thing is obviously nonsense. What I’m interested in is finding out whether the bullet(s) were actually fired in “self-defence” as the establishment claims.

eh, u lah the prostitute. selling your country by working for anwar the CIA plant….funded by US government.
    TRAITOR! TRAITOR! TRAITOR!

  • johnleemk:

    1. You are no activist. You are a keyboard activist.

    2. You do not understand anything, for you are a keyboard activist.

    3. No Umno activist attacked APCET. APCET II was a different story.

    4. “I’m interested in is finding out whether the bullet(s)…” No need to find out. Stay behind your keyboard.

    Nat:

“No NGO organised ceramah that is attended by second tier Opposition leadership could have excited a crowd to violence.”

Bro… for using “second tier”, I would like to buy you a tosai when we meet.

    Cheers!

  • tx for the tosai bro, but for the record, i would like to state my conviction that John Lee is not merely a keyboard activist, and has no reason to just stay behind a keyboard.

    hidup john!

    :)

  • politycus: no wonder that Nat getting thinner! Ai yo yo… :P

  • 1. And there’s nothing wrong with using the pen (or keyboard, as the case would have it) rather than the ceramah or memorandum.

    2. So what don’t I know then? Do enlighten me, I’m all ears. (Seriously – I know I’m far from 100% right or informed about anything.)

    3. That’s why I said “a summit organised by APCET”.

    4. Will do. Always fun to stay in the dark and curse the darkness from my keyboard, rather than lighting a candle only to find out I’m in a darkroom and I just ruined somebody’s film negatives. (And no, I have no idea what this metaphor is supposed to mean.)

  • Nat: You are right! John john is NOT a mere keyboard activist. Like a bona fide activist, he jumps at criticism and tries to qualify himself! Taniah john john.

  • haha, john, don’t take this guy seriously know, he’s yanking your chain :)

  • not suprise, MCA whored themselves to UMNO long time ago and they are happy doing it, for free now. And The Star, never fail to establish itself as the best prostitute in twisting the facts, but being the Gov. mouthpiece, what we can expect? Same goes to NST, Berita Harian, TV3 dan lain lain. All seems like posting from an authorised source. Jeff Ooi got a good picture of all the local newspapers ‘riot’ together. Try harder, we are not that dumb. Guess they are suprised by the amounts of postings by bloggers on this Batu Burok incident.. Do not let them divide us, incite fear amon g us. Damn, I’m so sick of those hypocrites..Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is the biggest one.
