flash: Nat being held at Bukit Aman!

Hi guys,

Nat was taken away from his office today by 3 police officers to Bukit Aman. According to EK, they said they “nak cakap tentang internet”. I’m a bit blurry with the details but I will try my best to keep you all updated. In the meantime, whoever wants to go to Bukit Aman to show support please do! Please call 2283 5567 ext 151 (that’s my office number) for more details. If I don’t answer means I’m not at my table. All else, try Eli or Tian if you have their numbers.

Thanks.

  14. Let’s all pray that Brother Nathaniel Tan is released unharmed from custody and that the Bukit Aman Police HQ Special Branch will act justly towards our fellow Blogger.

We have to understand that this is part and parcel of their job and if Brother Nat’s committed no crime, he should be freed as soon as they are finished questioning him.

Let’s keep each other updated as to what’s happening ?

I hope that our men in blue will let Nat return home safely.

    Ameen.

  15. May God Bless Nat. I hope everything is okay

  18. Dear Cheryl,
Hope Nat was okay. Let’s pray for him. Nat promised me to find sponsorship for my theater project. I know he is kind and strong man. May God bless him again. You & all of your family too. I knew this from Petra -AWAM

  19. According to mkini he is being held under the OSA. The police seem to think he has official secrets stored on his computer, since the case is being handled by their cyber crime unit.

If you ask me, it’s just to intimidate those of us who have been working quietly in a non-political way for change and making a difference – and the work goes on:

  36. To have a real change, we have to experience this act by the government. Free speech will not be achieved until this whole thing plays out. ISA, Sedition and other tools the government has been using to quell the masses will eventually be defeated!

Malaysians will not tolerate this forever and eventually RCI will be required to get to the bottom of this too long after the present government is not longer relevent. Gosh! all of these so called leaders have studied overseas and understood the important of free speech. Now they are doing what the Myanmar junta is doing … I feel disappointed with Najib! Abdullah and all that still support ISA!!!
