Johari vs. Musa: Law Enforcers Squabble, Criminals Roam Free
Posted on July 11th, 2007 by Nathaniel Tan
With this stupid, inane spat going on between Dtk Johari and TS Musa, I’ve gotta ask: who the hell is protecting our streets?? >:(

Nat Tan
We refer you to our article on ” Khairy, Hisham, Najib on KeADILan: Distracting the forest for the trees”.
Yes UMNO is taking political mileage. If it does not so, it is out of character of UMNO.
But this does not retract from the fact that Tian Chua is not an ordinary person. He has chosen to be a political figure and a public one.
His actions are par for the course for comment in the public domain.
Tian Chua as Information Chief of a political party has crossed the red line of irresponsibility. He is wronged in doctoring a photo involving a Deputy Prime Minister. That is fraud, and in an information age of today, media fraud is taken very seriously.
Tian Chua should have the decency, not only admit, but to apologise for his error and the right thing for him to do is to pay the full price of the gravity of the error, to save further embarrassment ot Keadilan and to avoid getting Keadilan distracted from this issue in the coming election. Tian Chua should resign from the post of Information Chief. It is the ONLY RIGHT THING TO DO as a politician. His mistake is very serious.
Malaysian bloggers should take an objective postion in this and not be prejudiced by their political inclinations especially when opposition forces have errored seriously and they must be taken to task, without bias and without malice.

So Tian Chua should quit because he didn’t realise there would be Malaysians stupid enough to think the photo was real, and/or that he would think it was real? Interesting reasoning.

It does not matter what Tian Chua thinks about others would believe the photo was real or not.
The act itself is irresponsible. The motive of Tian Chua and his beliefs are irrelevant.
Tian Chua is NOT a nobody. The fake photo is about the Deputy Prime Minister.
Tian Chua should take full responsibility for his action, irrrespective of his intentions, whether it is for fun or otherwise. He should do the right thing.
tian was irresponsible for the photo but he was responsible enough to explain himself when quizzed. DPM back in ijok took ages to respond to the allegations of his involvement. but should DPM decide to sue, i’m sure tian would responsibly respond to it. tunggu dan lihat first.
what about other bloggers who posted the picture up and blogged so extensively on it? doesn’t this make them responsible to? shouldn’t they apologise?
should najib sue for defamation, all those who republish it are also guilty of libel. the only protection that bloggers have over this if if they blog with their name and are known for their credible content.
i think bloggers have more to worry than tian.
Wait, publishing a photo so badly edited that it is obvious it’s a fake meant to poke fun at the media controversy is irresponsible? Are politicians expected to dump their sense of humour?
I couldn’t care less about Tian Chua, but that’s really ridiculous. If Tian expected people to believe it was real, that’s one thing - but the whole point of making it look so unrealistic was to deter this from happening.
i dont agree with what tian has done but i dont think that warrant his resignation either. If the aggrieved party thinks that what tian has done has tarnished his repo he can always refer the matter to court. what’s stopping him?
i read your comments with much interest becos you rationalize that given the fact that tian is a political figure and is well known and so should do the decent and resign!
wow! that is so righteous albeit applied on the wrong scenario.
no doubt tian is well known but does he hold any key post in any government machinery that could affect the lives of the ordinary rakyat?
and by posting the doctored pix has he affected your life or anyone else?
now on the other hand, people who can make decision which can affect the life of the rakyat, people like some of our minister (the Neanderthal type) the close one eye, the bocors and the bloody stupid racist type.
and also those high and mighty law makers, those supposedly people who maintain law and order, maintain integrity in the system… and the about turn minister who insist everything is God’s Act….
yes.. they have never published any doctored pixs but they have now and then been caught with their pants down lying thru their stinking nose… for decency sake dont you think you should be writing and telling them to step down, Resign and just go?
the only thing i thought was irresponsible was using a dead girl’s head and passing it off as another also dead girl. all else, i thought it was hilarious!
hehe, agreed.. :) mebbe it would’ve been funnier if he put joceline’s head there instead, nyek3.. :)
ps- notice how this whole debate is taking place on the wrong post? hehehe… :P :)
