Sigh, still no coverage of this most serious breach of journalistic ethics.
I don’t have much to add to my previous post, and I hate the idea of seeking to ‘destroy’ a man’s reputation. I just really can’t stand for people to get away scot free when they’ve done something so wrong in the public sphere, especially by using the buat tak tau strategy, grrr. (the article is still up even, in all its plagiarist glory :| )
So for now at least, I’m going to be harping on this. Remember, Mr. P, your window of honorable opportunity is closing fast.

Brendan Pereira will end his term of service as group editor of the New Straits Times on Dec 31.
Announcing this yesterday, the New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd said: “The company would like to extend its utmost appreciation to Brendan for all his tireless efforts in turning around the editorial operations and improving the performance and position of the New Straits Times.”
Pereira joined the NST in 2004 as executive editor. He has been group editor for more than a year.
The company said deputy group editor Syed Nadzri Syed Harun would be appointed group editor designate on Dec 1.
He will assume the post of group editor on Jan 1.
Syed Nadzri joined the NSTP in 1979 as a cadet journalist.
He held various positions in the company, including chief news editor and executive editor.
